I know what you’re going to say: oh, those women! Never keep their promises. I am sorry it took me more than 24 hours to come up with tips and tricks. The thing is terrible flu caught me. I spent the whole day lying in my bed. So, I advice that you take a good care of yourself, and keep yourself warm these days.
Anyway, today I enjoyed the healing effect of Chocolatier 2: Secret Ingredients. And here are some hints that I suppose will be help you.

1. When setting up production, in order to increase the production volume of any product, try to match the ingredients of the same color. Thus, they’ll be taken from the conveyor earlier.
2. Travel as frequently as possible to available ports provided you’ve got enough cash on hand to pay for the trip, and all your factories are working, so you’ll have something to sell in the future.
3. When you’re at the market and trying to buy some ingredients, HAGGLE if you find the suggested price too high(the pricing rate is displayed when you mouse over each ingredient for sale). Some vendors are more affable than others. The best place where I most frequently buy ingredients is San Jose Theatre Market. This guy cuts his prices more often than other vendors do. And this is the closest place to San-Francisco.
4. When selling your products, you can haggle as well. The best place to sell your ingredients for the first time is the shop in San Jose as well. Sell frequently to Mrs Baumeister – and soon she’ll gladly sell you her own shop.
5. Don’t haggle if:
a). the prices are at the lowest rate;
b). you haggled at the same place several times before;
c). you see the vendor(customer) is in a bad mood(Pay attention to their facial expression).
d). don’t haggle with San Francisco confectionery shop(this is my personal impression). You cannot talk turkey with the local shop owner. I decidedly didn’t like this lady.
6. Buy new factories, and laboratory once your budget allows you to.
7. Always try to base your production on the newly-uncovered recipes.
8. You can buy a laboratory for inventing your own recipes. You’ll be paid more for the products that contain secret ingedients. If you cannot match the ingredients you have qwith the secret ingredients, go to the market and get yourself a couple of sacks of a different ingredient.
9. When you’re visiting a port on no matter what purpose, once you’ve complete your mission, check all the locations at this port.
10. When you go gambling with somebody, don’t be greedy and leave the game while you uncover 60% of the boxes.
I hope you’ll help me continue this list and share your strategies and inventions. I love this game since it gives you a spirit of entreprenership and is just so enjoyable. Yummm…

Dear Beatriz! In fact it’s a piece of cake. First, go to Sara’s shop in San Jose in order to sell her your products as often as you can. But try not to haggle with her every time you come.
And one day she will tell you you’re a good partner and she’d like to sell her shop to you. She’ll ask you to come in a few months. Keep in touch and continue supplying your goods to her. And this is it. Good luck!
what do you do when your in one of those secret places ….the places where you can only buy from and you cant sell…and tht you have no moore money to travel ????? is the game over now ??????? wheres the guy tht lends money ??…im stuk!! and im so far!!
I have just tried going on a journey and spending all my money. Once you revisit, or click on any location at the faraway port while having no money, there will appear the man you’re searching for. His name is Darius Deneira. He will either lend you money at interest rate, or buy all your ingredients. Good luck! Please write me if that works.
ok almost done with the game but having issuse with one recipe Costa Rica Mango Lemon Pralines. I can’t find a person to open the recipe and my test place won’t let me either what do i do??

Appearantly, you’ve got to travel every port and click on every location until you find the person who tell you the recipe. Good luck!
costa rican mango pralines is sugar(1) lemon(1) mango(1) and costa rican cacao(2). Im currently stuck the end ive found all the recipes except for 2 in the infusion part the milk chocolate infusion w/ almond and milk chocolate infusion w/ cashew. Where do i find the recipes for these i keep going to every port and am having no luck please help.

Hi Can anyone tell me how I get to upgrade my factories/ I want to get the ganache facility for sara in San Jose but haven’t worked out how to. Thanks, karen
Normally, you would be asked to upgrade your factory equipment before you start producing a new sort of products(sauces, pralines, or whatever). You will just be required to pay a fixed sum(the factory supervisor will tell it to you), that’s it. The sum will be withdrawn from your account, and the factory equipment will be upgraded. Dear Lissilala! I’ve just got a recipe for Costa Rican Mango Lemon pralines as told by sabrina Smith – ” costa rican mango pralines is sugar(1) lemon(1) mango(1) and costa rican cacao(2)”. I got them during my first visit to Bombay from a man named chandra Shenoy at Mumbadevi Temple. Hope, this helps. Good luck!

I think Im almost at the end of the game and my new goal is to find a bunch of ingrediants to bring back to the lab to make a new recipe, I have found them all except costa recan cocoa. All of my ports are open accept sydny and I have searched them all. It seems to me it must be found in sidny but I cant figure out how to unlock it and I cant do any other jobs until this one is completed. PLEASE HELP
A man in Bombay told me the recipe for a praline with 1 sugar, 1 Majahnga Cacao, 1 Cloves and another ingredient from Majahanga. However in my testing lab there’s a message saying there’s no possibility to do an experiment with the ingredients I have and there’s no way to try a new praline. What shall I do? Thanks
luca it is for maharaga vanilla clove prailenes. you need to have bought more than 1 sack of vanilla at some point in time for it to be in the lab to glo with the cloves ect..

In order to see the place where you can get any ingredient, just put your mouse over the ingredient and you’ll see detailed information concerning pricing and where you can get this ingredient(where it was last seen). Dear Karen, please note that the only way to upgrade factory is to start making new type of products. There are several of them in Chocolatier 2 (squares, pralines, sauces, exotics). And every time you start producing a new type of products, the factory supervisor will tell you you need to upgrade the equipment for producing the new type of products. It will cost you some fixed sum. He will ask you if you want to upgrade or not. Choose “Yes” and the factory will be upgraded.

Having trouble just started the game and i’m in san jose but i cant find the market i keep looking and nothing pops up help plz!!!
I seem to be stuck! I have the himilayas open but nothing has happened. I’ve been looking through all the ports for more secret ingredients and keep going back to the lab but he says there’s nothing new there. I’ve bought all the ingredients from all the ports. I can’t open any more ports, I’m not gettting any new tasks. I just keep traveling but can’t seem to advance any where. Help!!!!

what port is costa rican cacao in?
i’m supposed to take a new truffle with cherries, anise and a variatal cacoa to Li Shen in Shanghai. I’ve got 6 unique cacoa plus the regular one. What am I missing. The only port not open is Sydney.

what shop where you overlooking, as I am stuck at the same stage you were. The Himalaya is open, I have every ingredient from all shops, but the lab says the haven’t got anything new to make some off. There’s also a guys that sometimes tells me I have to make a couple of new ingredients to get further.

the guy at san jose, leon marzinillo, only sells cashews, sugar, cacaco beans and milk solids. theother guy, dieter baumeister sells only costa rican cacao. i read on an other site that the sell truffle powder at san jose, i just don’t see it. can anybody help?

hm, the port from jakarta is not open yet, nor are the ones from manila, shangai and sydney. i just keep going back to all ports over and over again, but i can’t seem to find any new ingredients?? who can help me?

really? i’ve searched high and low and i don’t see it. at mahajanga, there’s the majunga market, they only sell sugar, cacao, mint, vanilla and coffee. at the plantation they only sell mahajanga cacao. am i overlooking a location, there are 4 that i can see, the plantation, the market, the railstation and the factory…

Cinnamon sticks – Jakarta
Anise – The Sahara(Africa)
Saffron- The Sahara(Africa)
philippines cacao beans – Manila, sagada Terraced farm

thanks for the info gameglamour, but it doesn’t seem to help me. i don’t find any truffle powder anywhere, not at mahajanga nor at abidjan. at abidjan the plateau market only sells sugar, cashews, cacao, coffee and almonds. the plantation only sells that cote d’ivorian cacao. is there anybody who maybe sells any truffle powder to me if i give them a flower? i’m so stuck here, aaaah.
From what you’re saying i can assume that the offer in every market can vary for every gamer profile. maybe it depends on what you produce. Maybe the games works the following way: the more sorts of truffles you produce, the more port markets will ofer them to you. So, what i can recommend you is to go through every available port and pop into every market for truffle powder. It must be in the market, not a plantation. It looks like a brown ball. I have just found it in Jakarta as well.
maybe then i’ll try and produce something different in my factories, maybe then the markets will start to sell truffle powder, as i haven’t seen it in any market i have been to, so i’m not able to make any truffles yet.

You will have to start to produce truffles after somebody asks you to. Don’t try to master all types of products at once! Play as if you were reading a book and don’t rush your fences! Just get into the game and forget all the walkthroughs you’ve read! Everything will come to you. Happy chocolating, JJ!
yes, but nobody is giving me anything to do, i’ve been going over every port, every locating, nobody asks me to make anything anymore… i’ve been doing this for a very long time now, and still nothing, just making chocolats and seling them, but no special demands.
Adele, have you found anything by now? can you buy truffle powder anywhere? i think this is why i’m stuck, because i can’t buy truffle powder, i think…
i also only own 2 recipes for the chocolate sauces, one which i made myself, is that right to?

Dear Christa, I thibnk you cannot be stuck in this game. Work on other sorts of products – and by the end of the game you’ll find all the recipes. Now just try to go to farwaya ports you have unlocked and visit every location. You will surely find somebody to give you job:). Good luck.

Dear Ittay, first of all, you need to read your message board (message tab) and find out the EXACT QUANTITY and TYPE of PRODUCTS you need to bring to the man. Probably you’re either bringing him an insufficient quantity(you can check the quantity at your inventory) or you’re bringing him the wrong thing(so, if he asks you for ants, you should bring him ants, but if he asks you for a certain type of chocolate that includes fire ants, you need to check the recipe of this products(see your recipe book) and produce it in one of your factories. Before I can help you, can you please tell me his exact task?

I have found and made every recipe in the book, yet when I go to talk to Alex she simply tells me that I need to get all the exotics and to go to my lab to develop them. I have them all developed and can’t make any more. I’ve visited each port and building several times and have been stuck here for days. Any suggestions?

I have a quest and I have an infusion recipe, but I don’t know how to upgrade my factories. Help! How do I upgrade them?
My wife and I are playing separate games of Chocolatier 2 and we’re both currently at the chocolatier level. Yesterday my wife was playing and as she was on a boat from New York to Paris one of the characters (she doesn’t quite recall who, but she thinks it was the big guy whose name begins with W) sold her a private jet for $240,000 and now she can travel anywhere in the world (including the secret location) within 1 or 2 weeks w/o travel expenses so she can’t get stuck anywhere for lack of funds.
How do you get this someone to sell you a jet? We played the first game together up to taking over Baumeister Confections and none of the characters offered us a jet for sale. Anyone else manage to get lucky?

Same problem as Chels. I have played this game without incident several times through. Now I have all recipes and Alex is not sending me on my final tasks. Is there something else besides acquiring all recipes that I need to do?
I’m supposed to develop the truffle for Li Shen. I have everything needed: cherries, anise, truffle powder, sugar, and the Indonesian cacao (I actually have every variety of cacao.)
When I go to the lab in Buenos Aires, I am told there is nothing marketable to develop, so I can’t develop the truffle. As soon as I leave, I keep getting the character popups telling me to go to the lab and develop the truffle. It’s almost on an endless loop now…any way out of it, or to force the development of the truffle?

I can’t even play at all, when i start in san francisco i can click on everything, when i travel to san jose, i can’t click on any building?
I’ve read it more often that people have the same problem that they can’t click on buildings on San Jose? Strange i never seen a solution for it.
If you are stuck somewhere and don’t have enough money to leave try buying an ingredient and then clicking again. The guy should offer you a loan.
If you don’t have enough money to buy an ingredient to try the above buy part of an ingredient, like .6.
I tried this and I got back to san Francisco to sell my chocolates.
